100 years of art
1959
ROSIZO dates back to 1959, when the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic founded the Directorate of Art Foundations and Design of Monuments.
1977
From 1977 to 1994 it operated as the Republican Center for Art Exhibitions and Promotion of Fine Arts Rosizopropaganda. The Center hosted touring exhibitions and distributed works of art to Soviet museums.
2010
On January 1, 2010 ROSIZO received a status of the museum. The founder of the Center is the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
